Patisserie By The Angels!

The cakes and pastry 'season' comes alive in the later half of December and spreads over in January. The last week of the year sparks a festive season worldwide and India joins the revelry diligently every. Since our school days Christmas was synonymous with celebration and cakes! It continues and although cakes are available all throughout the year, they attain significance quite unparalleled at any other time. A visit to any place, be it a 5 star restaurant or the local grocery store, is incomplete without indulging the sweet tooth. Bakeries are at their best and go all out to woo customers. But only a handful is able to deliver the ‘different’ experience, which makes them out in the crowd.

Angels In My Kitchen is one such patisserie. Its outlet in Cyber Hub has a select and faithful fan following. It did have first mover advantage for some time, being the lone bakery, but inspite of other places selling cakes in some form or other, Angels has done remarkable well to position itself quite uniquely. In our office, it was a refreshing change when birthday cakes were first ordered from here around this time last year.

Angels is very strategically situated at the first corner if you enter Cyber Hub from the IndusInd Bank Cyber City Rapid Metro Station. The elegant exterior is sure to catch any visitor’s gaze, especially in the evening. Once inside the aroma of freshly baked delicacies acts as appetizers to one’s nostrils. It is comparatively smaller in size with comfortable seating arrangement both inside as well as outside.

There was an array of snacks laid out on one side and cakes & pastries adjacent. All of them looked quite tempting. Service was a tad slow, especially since there were not many customers inside at that time. However, the taste made up for that. The freshness of all the items could be felt with each bite. We savoured the delicacies. Chicken Masala Patty and Chicken Log Pizza had a tantalizing taste. Chocolate Trufle & Chocolate Evasion cakes both smelled invitingly; their sweetness and softness delicately mixed. The Cappuchino hot coffee was the only odd one out and tasted quite lame compared to other items we tried.

The staff had taken the pains to create a Gingerbread village just before Christmas. They had put it on public display outside, which ensured a steady stream of curious onlookers. From time to time, yummy cookies were offered to every visitor (of course without any cost!). A most commendable effort!!
